Research for Scalable
Solutions (R4S)
Overview
developed a brand identity for the Research for Scalable Solutions (R4S) project, a USAID-funded initiative that conducts implementation science research to improve the efficiency and equity of family planning programs in Africa and Asia. The goal was to create a distinct, people-centered visual system that felt both credible and approachable, resonating with key audiences in these regions. From three initial concepts, I delivered a clean, flexible design system selected for its clarity and adaptability. The brand incorporates USAID’s Gill Sans typography, complemented by a warm, trustworthy color palette. A simple arrow mark symbolizes forward progress, while a custom family pattern reflects the project’s focus on family planning and community well-being. These elements, along with a consistent icon style, were applied across all R4S materials—from reports to presentations—supporting a strong and unified program launch.
